CONCORD — NHTI's Practical Nursing Diploma Program has been granted re-accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. The Board of Commissioners granted continuing accreditation to the program for eight years, scheduling its next evaluation visit for Spring 2021.

The Practical Nursing program offers a one year (spring, summer, and fall semester) curriculum which combines classroom and clinical instruction, preparing students to work as entry level members of a multidisciplinary team providing care in a variety of health care settings.

Graduates are eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN® Exam).  Over the past three years, over 95% of NHTI’s Practical Nursing students have passed the NCLEX on their first try, consistently above the national and New Hampshire averages.

Graduates of the Practical Nursing program may also apply to continue their studies through NHTI’s LPN-RN Completion Option and obtain an Associate Degree.  Upon completion of this one year (summer, fall, and spring semester) program, students are eligible to apply for Registered Nurse Licensure.

NHTI, Concord’s Community College, is a fully accredited, public community college serving students, businesses and the community by providing excellent academic, technical and professional education.  NHTI offers over 65 academic programs to more than 4,500 students.  NHTI is a member of the Community College System of New Hampshire.
