CONCORD — At its August 2, 2018 meeting, the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) renewed the accreditation of NHTI’s Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs, granting both the status of “approval without reporting requirements.”
“Approval without reporting requirements” is the highest level of accreditation granted by the committee, indicating that both programs “achieve or exceed the basic requirements for accreditation,” and that no deficiencies or weaknesses were found in either program. CODA accreditation is based on a comprehensive self-study conducted by the institution under review, followed by a site visit conducted by a team of Commission-appointed peers to assess a program's compliance with CODA’s Accreditation Standards and with its own stated goals and objectives. The site visit verifies and supplements the information contained in the self-study document completed by the institution.
As a result of this process, the NHTI dental programs’ accreditation has been renewed through 2025, when a new self-study and site visit will be required.
